Last weekend I had a chance to see one of my favorite layouts in the flesh… Widnes Vine Yard. It was making an appearance at Derby 2008 Model Railway Exhibition, which is my local gig. I have been following developments at Widnes Vine Yard on the Wirral Finescale website since I started the Dales Peak project.
It was great to see the real thing and I wasn’t disappointed. I love the attention to detail and the execution of the modelling. I particularly like the working 3-aspect signals.
I like this unusual scrapyard set piece featuring a collection of washing machines.
Also featured in the scrapyard is this pile of rusty car bodies.
