After another session in the loft I’ve finally managed to remove the old layout as far as the back wall. I have also had time to work up some drawings of a basic module design for Dales Peak. The modules will vary in size, depending on where they are to fit, and what scene they contain. However, they will all be restricted to a width of 480mm and height of 300mm in order to fit through the loft hatch.
While I was in planning mode I also worked out an end plate, which can be bolted on using the existing bolt holes. These were inspired by a Dutch fremo module and are designed in such a way as to allow the modules to be stacked, for storage and transport. Of course, this will only work for modules of the same size.

Dales Peak’s basic module stacking configuration.

This is the sort of thing I have in mind. These modules are from the Netherlands.
