Crossdale station canopy

I have been working on another scale drawing and here it is. The platform canopy/walkway for ‘Crossdale’ station.

It is based roughly on the architecture of the modern Leeds station and drawn from images scoured from the internet. There is still much more work to do to the drawing to give it depth. At this stage I wanted to test fit the frontage, just to get an idea of how it was going to fit into the setting.

The canopy hides the inclines behind

The idea is that this canopy/walkway will combine with other similar modern buildings to create an urban landscape which will hide the two inclines at this end of the model railway.

This is also designed to create a visual break, a contrast between this urban looking part of the layout and the rest.

As a parting shot – I have archived the June and July 07 posts to DalesPeak.co.uk, so that there is only ever one years worth of blogging on this site. I have also added an RSS feed to the site, for those of you who like to be updated when something changes.
