Peak Forest… lost and found

When I visited Peak Forest during the summer it was to replace photographs I’d taken years earlier.

A visit to Peak Forest in August 2006. At the time I only had a conventional camera so these shots are all scanned from prints

I knew I had some prints made, but had not been able to find them anywhere. Of course, now I’ve retaken them, they’ve turn up. Sod’s Law! I found them in my plastics spares box, which had been put away when the railway moved to the loft.

The main reason for visiting Peak Forest was to photograph the station building

I want to use the building as a prototype for modelling ‘Dalesmouth’ station

The Peak Forest station is now used as offices for the site
