I’ve started painting the quarry rock face and cutting. Just a rough base coat of grey emulsion to start with. I’ve also pinched two tunnel portals from elsewhere on the layout to get this bit finished sooner, rather than later.

…and the tunnel view as it was before painting began. I WILL get around to laying some track here, when I get the time.
The grey base colour gives a good starting point for additional colour and weathering.
Looking back towards the quarry it is beginning to look a bit more realistic.
