The Trackplan page is a vision of how the finished layout is intended to look, but this page is a record of how far that vision has progressed.

Just to keep things in perspective, and to make it obvious how much work there is still to do, I have ‘ghosted’ the Trackplan of the complete layout in the background.

So, the black track represents the extent of track laid, with track highlighted in yellow denoting that previously laid, and red highlighted track being the latest additions.
