Standing tall…

Got chance today to attach the legs to the module and try it out for size, and get a feel for how it’s going to look.

It was a simple matter to bolt on the legs and, although it looks a bit flimsy, it stands up perfectly well. Of course, the finished structure will be strengthened by the addition of the lower level and from being bolted to it’s neighbours.

My first impression is that it’s a shade too high. So, at the end of the session, I cut 100mm off each of the legs. Seen in isolation, the view of the module looks disrupted by the roof trusses. I don’t think this will be as obvious when the full layout is assembled and especially when viewed from within the roof trusses, as below.
