Placing DCC system connections…

I had already incorporated a couple of DCC components into the ‘Overdale Quarry’ module but never got around to working out where to place the other elements in a modular layout. The transformer was always going to be on this module because of its proximity to the power supply. The XpressNet connection is only on this module because it was the first one being made and I need it to connect a controller.

Decided to mount the Lenz LI-USB interface on the support nearest to the XpressNet connection

The back plate of the Lenz LI-USB interface was already drilled to take screws from the previous layout

Just pop the guts of the interface back in...

...and pop on the front

One Lenz LI-USB interface neatly installed below the module and easily visible

Things are begininning to take on the appearance of a layout again and I feel inspired to get things wired up again. Got to decide where to put the Lenz LZV100 command station next.
