River runs deep

The raised river banks in place

Well, not that deep actually! I’ve used the pieces of MDF that were left over from cutting the river bed to create the banks of the river. This will be the starting point for supporting the five bridges that cross here. Plenty of modelling to be done along the way, that’s for sure.

  1. I like the work you have done on the second viaduct at Millers Dale. I plan to build a EM gauge layout of Millers Dale before the second viaduct was built and any information of where I may obtain a plan of the first viaduct I would be grateful. If I do go ahead I plan to use my high-end 3D printer for the bridge.I look forward to hearing from you.

    • Hi Thomas,

I’m glad you like my version of Millers Dale viaduct, but unfortunately, I don’t know of any plans myself. The model I made of the second viaduct was based on dimensions I took myself on site, from photographs I took and those I found on the internet. I like the idea of being able to 3D print the model. My own experience of 3D printing found the Up Mini I had lacked the quality I wanted. Anyway, I wish you every success in your project and look forward to hearing how you have got on.

      Cheers, Ian
