A New Year and new modelling challenges
I’ve been rather busy recently, so railway modelling has had to take a back seat and it’s a bit late, but Happy New Year anyway. Fortunately, at last, a lull in the proceedings has given me an opportunity to write this quick blog.
As you can see from the picture above the shed has taken on the appearance of a ‘bomb site’, but order is slowly being restored.
Although I enjoyed experimenting with the 3D-printer, when I had it, what I always really wanted was a laser cutter. I’ve had my eye on one of the Chinese K40 machines, so over the Christmas period I ordered one and it duly arrived.
I’ve had to extend the workbench to accommodate it, and I’m working on an extraction fan to remove the fumes, but I’m almost up and running.
Lots of experimenting to be done… 🙂
